Lavaltrie strawberry plants, developed in Canada and sold abroad

Did you know that 25% of the strawberries found in local grocery stores in wintertime come from strawberry plants that are produced in Canada and sold to the United States? Canada is a major player in North America when it comes to research and development of new varieties of strawberry plants. Ricardo heads to Production Lareault in Lavaltrie, Quebec, where many advances in strawberry farming have been made, to take a look at the state of the strawberry industry in Canada.
