Spicy Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups (625 ml) milk
  • 3 oz (90 g) semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • Approximately 1/8 tsp (0.5 ml) Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) 35% cream, whipped (optional)

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, heat the milk without boiling. Add the chocolate and whisk until melted.
  2. Add the cayenne pepper and vanilla. Blend.
  3. Pour into hot bowls or cups. Garnish with whipped cream.
