Bulgogi - Beef Burgers with Pickled Cabbage

Ingredients

    Marinade

  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) mirin
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) finely chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped

    Burgers

  • 1 lb (454 g) lean ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fermented black bean paste
  • 10 dinner rolls
  • 1 recipe Kimchee
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

Marinade

  1. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Set aside.

Burgers

  1. In another bowl, combine the meat and black bean paste. Shape into 10 patties the same diameter as the buns. Place the patties in a glass baking dish. Brush with marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the grill, setting the burners to high.
  3. Grill the patties until well done, about 3 minutes per side. Toast the buns.
  4. Place the patties on the buns and top with kimchee.
