2.5 litres (10 cups)
Orangeade (orange limonade)
7 cups (1.75 litres) cold water
1 cup (250 ml) sugar
Grated zest of 4 lemons
Grated zest of 4 oranges
1/2 cup (125 ml) lemon juice (about 4 lemons)
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) fresh orange juice (about 8 oranges)
In a saucepan, heat 250 ml (1 cup) water with the sugar and zest, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves. Strain and transfer to a pitcher. Add the remaining water and the juice. Stir. Refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.
Stir again and serve well chilled.
