Vanilla Frosting

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 1/4 cups (560 ml) icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) 35% cream
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, beat the butter, sugar, cream and vanilla with an electric mixer until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Add food colouring if desired.

Note

A simple and economical frosting.


Quick Chocolate

Frosting Just add 75 ml (1/3 cup) sifted cocoa powder to the vanilla frosting.
