Fried Fish Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 ml) shredded cabbage
  • 6 tablespoons (90 ml) tartar sauce (see Fish and Chips recipe)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons (7.5 ml) white wine vinegar
  • 2 pieces hot fried fish
  • 2 hoagie loaves
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, combine the cabbage, sauce and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Refrigerate for 20 minutes. Open the buns in half and add a fish piece and some coleslaw.

Note

The fried fish freezes well. You then simply place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and reheat it in the oven at 180 °C (350 °F) for about 20 minutes.
