- 1 cup (250 ml) clementine juice (about 10 clementines)
- 2/3 cup (150 ml) sugar
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) lemon juice
- 1 clementine, sliced
- In a saucepan, bring all the ingredients to a boil. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Cool slightly and strain through a fine sieve. Cover and refrigerate until completely chilled, about 3 hours.
For a holiday cocktail
Pour 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of syrup in a champagne glass and add champagne or sparkling wine. Kid can have this syrup instead of grenadine for a Shirley Temple (a little syrup with Sprite or 7 up). Also delicious on vanilla ice cream, a vanilla cake or a fruit salad.
