Oven-Baked Fries

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 large russet potatoes, peeled or unpeeled and cut into 1/2-inch (1-cm) thick sticks
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On the baking sheet, toss the potatoes with the oil. Bake for about 40 minutes or until golden brown. Turn the fries and bake for 5 to 10 minutes or until crisp. Drain on paper towels. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with Hortense-Style Mussels with Sausage.
