How to Measure Sticky Liquid Ingredients

It’s possible to measure sticky ingredients like honey, corn syrup, molasses and maple syrup with precision—and without the mess! Here’s the best trick to do it.

Use an individual stainless steel or plastic measuring cup, instead of a graduated glass container. To prevent the ingredients from sticking, pour a few drops of oil in the cup and spread it all over on the inside. With this tip, liquid sugars will just slide off the cup’s side as if by magic, without leaving any sticky residue.
