Trending: Restaurants That Promote Physical Activity

Certain establishments not only encourage the consumption of food and alcohol, but also promote physical activity by being a meeting space for runners, walkers and cyclists, even sometimes offering discounts or starting their own official running clubs.

That’s the case at Messorem Bracitorium, a brewery located in Montreal’s Saint-Henri borough, that hosts its own cycling club and regularly organizes outings that combine bike paths with beer crawls.

BarBara, a wine bar located in the same neighbourhood, organizes walking and running activities. They’ve even rewarded customers who get to their restaurant in an active way by offering them a drink or meal, depending on the distance they came from.

Alchimiste Microbrasserie in Joliette, Quebec has also started its own running club. So many good reasons to get moving!
