Add the butter and garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, basting the artichokes with the butter frequently. Flip the artichokes over, cut-side up. Transfer to the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the artichokes are nicely browned and very tender, basting and flipping them over a few times during cooking.
