    • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
    • 1/4 cup (60 ml) unsalted butter, melted

    • Whipped cream

You can use this recipe to make either a layer cake or a roll; choose springform pans or a jelly roll pan as needed.

To bring the eggs to room temperature, place them whole in a bowl of hot water and let stand for 10 minutes.
