Preparation

On the stove

  1. In a small saucepan, sprinkle the gelatin over 125 ml (1/2 cup) of juice and let bloom for 5 minutes. Add the sugar and heat gently, stirring until the gelatin and sugar have dissolved. Add the remaining juice and stir to combine. 


In the microwave oven

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over 125 ml (1/2 cup) of juice and let bloom for 5 minutes. Add the sugar and heat in the microwave oven on high for 10 to 15 seconds or until the gelatin and sugar dissolve when stirred. Add the remaining juice and stir to combine.
  2. Pour into four 150 ml (2/3 cup) dessert cups. Refrigerate for 3 hours. 



Note

Change the flavour!


Mango Lime
Combine 500 ml (2 cups) of mango nectar with 15 ml (1 tablespoon) of lime juice and the grated zest of 1 lime.

Pina Colada
Combine 375 ml (1 1/2 cups) pineapple juice with 125 ml (1/2 cup) of coconut milk.

Lime or Lemon
Use lime or lemon lemonade instead of juice.

Strawberry Orange
In a food processor, purée 500 ml (2 cups) of strawberries until smooth. Measure the volume obtained and complete with orange juice to get 500 ml (2 cups) of liquid.
