  1. With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 160 °C (325 °F).
  2. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add syrup and oil and toss to combine.
  3. Spread mixture on a baking sheet. Bake for about 30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Cool completely. If desired, add dried fruit, to taste (raisins, cranberries, blueberries, apricots, etc.). Store in an airtight container. 



Note

For this recipe, it is preferable not to use quick-cooking rolled oats because the result won’t be as crisp.
