- In the pressure cooker, combine the apples and water. Cover and select the Programmable function on High (high pressurization). Set the machine to cook for 5 minutes.
- Release the pressure manually, and remove the lid.
- In a blender, purée until smooth half of the apples at a time with half of the sugar, if using. The applesauce will keep for 3 weeks in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
