Suggestions for a terrifying night

It’s time to celebrate the scariest night of the year. Witches, vampires, bogeymen and other monsters will soon be stalking the streets of your neighbourhood. But isn’t Halloween the perfect time to celebrate with friends? Invite your friends over for a celebration that they will never forget…

Put on your spookiest costume and invite your friends to enter into the horrifying, darkened world you have created, worthy of the best haunted house scene. Put spiders on your mirrors and hang bats and crucifixes from your ceiling and chandeliers. Dim the lights… only use lamps on a low setting and different kinds of candles, such as votive candles and dipped candles, dripping with wax. Place tealight candles into some pumpkins carved in the form of hideous heads. Set the scene with some haunting music or employ some freaky sound effects.

When the time comes to sit down to dinner, make sure it is a horrifying experience. Spread spiders, little plastic rats, miniature tombstones on the table and use mini-pumpkins coloured with black aerosol paint as place cards. Serve the meal on black or blood-red coloured dishes and light an assortment of coloured candles. Chills and gourmet delights guaranteed!
