A Step by Step Guide to Making Air Fryer Chicken Wings

For game nights in front of the TV, there’s nothing better than chicken wings that you can munch on all evening long. We’ve developed a simple recipe for the air fryer, rather than the conventional fryer. The wings are coated in a crispy breading made with rice cereal, and covered with a delicious sweet and sour sauce. Check out our step by step guide on how to make them.

Step 1: Section the chicken wings

On a work surface, cut each chicken wing through the joints into three pieces. Compost the wing tips and keep only the two large pieces. Pat the wings very dry with paper towels.

Step 2: Prepare the breading

In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt and spices. In another shallow dish, lightly beat the egg. In a third shallow dish, place the crushed rice cereal. Working one at a time, dredge the wings in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Dip into the beaten egg, letting some of the excess drip off. Press lightly into the rice cereal to coat well.

Step 3: Cook the chicken wings

Place the chicken wings in the basket of an air fryer. Cook for 15 minutes at 375°F (190°C). Flip the wings over and continue to cook for 5 minutes or until nicely browned.
