Terms and Conditions - Subscription to Ricardo Magazine


Ricardo Media Inc. (“RMI”) operates the website www.ricardocuisine.com (the “Site”). Use of the Site as well as the system for subscribing to Ricardo Magazine (the “Magazine”), which is accessible at http://www.ricardocuisine.com/subscribe (the “Subscription Section”), is governed by the following terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”).

By using the Site or the Subscription Section, you acknowledge having read and understood these Terms and Conditions and you agree to comply with them as well as any amendments thereto. These Terms and Conditions constitute a contract between you and RMI. We suggest you consult these Terms and Conditions periodically so as to be aware of any changes thereto.


The Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the province of Québec.


Prices are listed in Canadian dollars. Unless otherwise stated, prices do not include applicable sales taxes. Every subscription or order, regardless of origin, is payable in Canadian dollars.

Posted prices include shipping and handling costs only for deliveries within Canada. To find out our shipping and handling costs for deliveries abroad, please contact our Subscription Department. Please note that recipients will be required to pay any customs charges and local taxes for deliveries outside Canada.

Prices are subject to change without notice.


You must pay for your purchase or subscription with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card, through the Moneris secure online payment system. You agree to pay the total cost of the products purchased and the related charges, including taxes and shipping and handling costs, where applicable. You alone are responsible for the actual payment for the product purchased. If your payment cannot be validated or processed, your order will not be delivered and RMI will have no obligation to process your order.

RMI will not be responsible for payment problems related to the operation of the Moneris secure online payment system.

If you would prefer to subscribe to the Magazine by phone or mail, please contact our Subscription Department.


Receipt of an e-mail confirming your order does not automatically mean that RMI has accepted it and is not a confirmation of the obligation to sell the products indicated in your order. RMI reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel or refuse any order, for any reason whatsoever, including:

  • the non-availability of a product at the time the order is being processed;
  • inaccuracies or errors regarding pricing or product information;
  • problems relating to the processing of your payment;
  • the impossibility of delivering the product to the delivery address indicated.


RMI may also require additional verifications or information before accepting an order. RMI will contact you if all or part of your order has been cancelled or to obtain additional information needed for purposes of accepting your order.


If you are not satisfied with your subscription to the Magazine, you may cancel it at any time by contacting our Subscription Department.

When you cancel your subscription, thereby ending your initial commitment, you are entitled to a refund equal to the lump sum paid (including taxes) less the unit price of the issues that were sent to you before the cancellation date (including taxes). Amounts of less than $10 will not be refunded.

Therefore, your refund will be calculated as follows:
[(Cost of subscription package1) – (Number of issues received x Suggested unit price2)] + Applicable taxes = Your refund

Note 1: Price before taxes
Note 2: The suggested unit price is the price, before taxes, indicated on the cover page of the Magazine. In June 2013, it was $6.99.


You should expect to receive your first Magazine in approximately four (4) to six (6) weeks.


The Magazine is shipped from our distribution centre by parcel post (Canada Post). We are careful to choose the most suitable shipping method. For deliveries outside Canada, we always try to use the delivery method that is the most economical for you.

RMI will not be responsible for delays or clerical errors in the delivery address that are attributable to you.

Any damage to the Magazine delivered must be reported within 72 hours following delivery. To do so, please contact our Subscription Department. After the 72-hour time limit, the Magazine will be deemed to have been sent and received in perfect condition.
