Cheeseburgers can immediately put a smile on anyone’s face. In the world of smash burgers, these are the great classics. In this recipe in collaboration with Heinz, we chose a medium-lean ground meat in order to have a fat ratio high enough to ensure caramelization. After flipping the patties, place a slice of cheese (orange, of course!), which will melt for a few seconds before you place the patties in the burger buns with a sauce made from ketchup, mustard and relish for a revisited taste of nostalgia.

Note from Ricardo

For the most decadent smash burgers, we recommend using Kraft Extra Cheddar slices. They are thicker and will melt better over the patties.

There are several removable barbecue baking sheets available on the market. For best results and safest practices, follow the manufacturer’s instructions for temperatures and cooking times. Some materials do not tolerate high temperatures. The barbecue baking sheet can be replaced here with a large cast iron skillet. In this case, cook one hamburger patty at a time.
