Place a grill wok (with holes) directly on the grill. Preheat the grill, setting the burners to high.
In a bowl, toss the beans with the oil. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté the beans in the wok, stirring frequently to prevent them from burning, until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds. Adjust the seasoning.
Serve with meat, poultry or fish.
