Strip Loin Steaks with Creamy Brown Butter and Balsamic Sauce

  1. Preheat the grill, setting the burner to high. Oil the grate.
  2. Grill the steaks for about 5 minutes on each side for rare meat, or until the desired doneness. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with aluminum foil and let rest for 5 minutes.

Sauce

  1. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, bring the butter to a boil and continue cooking until it turns golden brown. Add the remaining ingredients and cook for 2 minutes, whisking constantly.
  2. Slice the meat and serve with the sauce.

Note

In restaurants, strip loin steak is sometimes referred to as New York Steak.
