- Place the pink peppercorns in a tea filter bag or tie them up in a square of cheesecloth.
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine the apple juice or cider with the cinnamon sticks, cloves and peppercorns. Heat for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove the spices and peppercorns. Pour the cider into glasses and garnish with a slice of apple studded with a clove, if desired.
