Preparation

  1. In a large heavy saucepan, combine all the ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Simmer gently for 20 to 25 minutes or until the jam thickens slightly. Skim carefully and stir frequently while cooking.
  2. Pour into sterilized jars. Freeze. The jam will keep for several weeks in the refrigerator or several months in the freezer.

  1. Is the jam very liquid? I've read somewhere that blueberries are not fruits with a lot of pectin. How much pectin should I add if I want to make it a bit more "jelly" like? Or what could be alternative? Lime/orange peels? Thanks! :)
