  1. With the rack in the lowest position, preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).

  1. In a bowl, combine the oats, flour, and brown sugar. Add the butter and stir to combine. Set aside.

  1. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Add the apples and lemon juice and stir to combine.
  2. Spoon into a 20-cm (8-inch) square baking dish. Cover with the topping. Bake for about 50 minutes. Let cool.
  3. Serve warm or at room temperature. Delicious with vanilla ice cream.

  1. I wasn't wowed at all. Did not like it at all and I followed the recipe to the letter. I will stick to my usual recipe. Thank you for sharing your work though, still appreciated.

  2. I always demi-cook my apples on the stove with sugar and cinnamon so they are just starting to soften prior to putting in my dish to cook in oven. I also melt the butter for my crumble. Great recipe!

  3. Add 2-3 apples to fill bigger baking dish and double the topping quantity.

  4. Best applecrisp I've ever made. It is easy and yummy. Family loves it.

  5. This recipe turned out delicious. Everyone at the dinner loved it.

  6. Its too dry. I kept cooking it and cooking it for probably an additional 45 minutes. The problem is not enough butter in the entire recipe. I won't make it again although i did like the amount of oats used but just not enough moisture.

  7. Yum yum yum.

  8. Easy and great tasting, so easy that I was able to teach my 85 year old Dad to make it and it's his favorite dessert.
