  1. With the rack in the lowest position, preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F). 


Topping

  1. In a bowl, combine the oats, flour, and brown sugar. Add the butter and stir to combine. Set aside. 


Filling

  1. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Add the apples and lemon juice and stir to combine.
  2. Spoon into a 20-cm (8-inch) square baking dish. Cover with the topping. Bake for about 50 minutes. Let cool.
  3. Serve warm or at room temperature. Delicious with vanilla ice cream.

  1. Add 2-3 apples to fill bigger baking dish and double the topping quantity.

  2. Best applecrisp I've ever made. It is easy and yummy. Family loves it.

  4. Its too dry. I kept cooking it and cooking it for probably an additional 45 minutes. The problem is not enough butter in the entire recipe. I won't make it again although i did like the amount of oats used but just not enough moisture.

  6. Easy and great tasting, so easy that I was able to teach my 85 year old Dad to make it and it's his favorite dessert.
