about 30 lollipops

  1. With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter, sugar and vanilla using an electric mixer. Add the eggs one at a time and beat until smooth. On low speed, mix in the dry ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or place in the freezer for 1 hour.
  4. Spread the icing sugar on a plate. Set aside.
  5. With your hands, shape 15 ml (1 tablespoon) of the dough into a ball and coat with icing sugar, shaking to remove any excess sugar. Place on the baking sheet. Repeat for the remaining dough.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
  7. Immediately after taking the baking sheet out of the oven, spear each ball with a lollipop stick. Transfer to a rack and let cook completely.

  1. Went flat as well! Same 1 1/2 hrs in the freezer. I baked for 12 mins. So are are we suppose to do ?? Thank you!

  2. I baked this but the pops went flat, I didn't refrigerate for 4 hrs. I put it in the freezer for 1 1/2 hrs. Should I put in a mold to keep the pop shape? or should I leave it in the freezer longer? Please advise. Taste was wonderful.

  3. I have a question. Do the brownies have to stay plump or end up flat during baking. I did not notice what happened when I watched your show. Please advise. Thanks
