Variation for cabbage rolls with meat Reduce the amount of barley to 125 ml (1/2 cup) and broth to 375 ml (1 1/2 cups). After cooking the vegetables, keep them on a plate and brown 350 g (3/4 lb) of ground pork (or lean ground beef) in the same skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Add the meat to the vegetable mixture and let cool. Continue with the egg and the recipe as written.
