  1. In a blender, purée the strawberries with the sugar into a smooth sauce. Strain.

Step 1
You can add a few drops of lemon juice for flavour.

Variations
Off-season, choose thawed strawberries and adjust the amount of sugar. Raspberries make for an excellent coulis. Strain the coulie through a sieve to remove the seeds. Also try mango and ripe peaches (without the skin) for coulis.
