Broccoli, Beef, and Tofu Stir-Fry

  1. In a large non-stick skillet or wok, brown the tofu slices on each side in 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside on a warm plate.
  2. In the same skillet, brown the meat in the remaining oil, crumbling it with a fork. Add the broccoli and cook for about 1 minute. Add the oyster sauce and cook for about 2 minutes or until the broccoli is al dente. Add the onion and cook for 2 minutes. Season with pepper.
  3. Divide the tofu among four plates and top with the beef and broccoli. 


If you want a vegetarian dish, opt for meatless ground “meat”. This product is usually sold in the tofu section of most grocery stores. Its appearance is mistakenly close to cooked ground beef, but it is soy based, thus it is a vegetarian product.

  1. I was blown away by how good this recipe was! I made a couple of changes--I cubed the tofu and added it to the stir fry with the onion, and I used half as much beef (I had some leftover from another recipe). Will definitely make again, and see how well it freezes :)
