Preparation

  1. In a bowl, combine water, oil, honey, and yeast. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, with a wooden spoon or in a stand mixer using the dough hook, combine flour and salt. Add liquids and stir until it forms a soft ball. Knead dough for about 2 minutes on a floured work surface or in stand mixer until smooth.
  3. Form a ball with dough and place it in a clean and lightly oiled bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm and humid place for about 1 hour or until dough has doubled in volume.
  4. Use dough immediately or cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 12 hours or freeze.

Note

Raw dough can be frozen in a ball or rolled out.
