  1. In a large bowl using a wooden spoon, or in a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook, combine the flour, sugar, yeast and salt. Add the water and stir until a soft ball forms. Knead for 5 minutes on a lightly floured surface or in the stand mixer until smooth.
  2. Shape the dough into a ball and place in a lightly oiled bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and let rest in a warm, humid place for 2 hours or until the dough has doubled in volume.

  2. So quick and easy. When it's my night to cook, the kids are excited as they get to help make one of their favourite meals that they previously just thought was the domain of the magic man with the red square bag. Easy and perfect every time!

  3. This is a no fail for me and I am teaching my son to do it. I add some Italian herbs to the dough mix for extra kick. Not much. I use this for pizzas, a focaccia style bread and pizza sticks. It is so good and so easy.

  5. Dough was good but I had a problem..help! I mixed in a mixer for 5 min., set up my oven for "proof" and put in oven inside an oiled metal bowl covered with towel (dry). After 2 hrs I took out and it rose a bit but not much. Since I was not baking right away I covered bowl with plastic wrap and put in fridge for few hours. When I took it out the dough had now doubled in size and was very airy. What should I have done? I kneaded and formed into two pizzas but dough was still sticky? Turned out great still.

  6. I love this recipe. It takes no time at all to prepare. For Gail who commented above, it would take longer to get your bread maker out and clean it up after than it would to quickly mix and knead by hand.
