Ingredients
280 ml (1 cup and 2 tbsp.) unbleached all-purpose flour
10 ml (2 tsp) sugar
2.5 ml (½ tsp)
instant yeast
2.5 ml (½ tsp) salt
125 ml (½ cup) lukewarm water
Preparation
In a large bowl using a wooden spoon, or in a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook, combine the flour, sugar, yeast and salt. Add the water and stir until a soft ball forms. Knead for 5 minutes on a lightly floured surface or in the stand mixer until smooth.
Shape the dough into a ball and place in a lightly oiled bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and let rest in a warm, humid place for 2 hours or until the dough has doubled in volume.
