Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, bring the water and salt to a boil. Add the soybeans and cook for 3 minutes. Drain.
  2. Sprinkle with sea salt. Serve immediately as an appetizer.

Note

The edamame word is a Japanese term that means "bean on branch". Its small pod is reminiscent of a sugar snap peas.
