- In a pot, bring the water and apples to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes or until the apples have softened.
- In a blender or using an immersion blender, puree the apple mixture until smooth. Watch out for splattering. Let cool completely.
Leaving the peel on the apples helps the applesauce get is nice pink colour.
For a dessert version, add ¼ cup (60 ml) sugar while cooking the apples.
