  1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Let marinate for 5 minutes or overnight.
  2. In a large non-stick skillet over high heat, brown half of the chicken at a time, about 10 minutes or until cooked through. If spices and brown bits stick to the skillet, clean between batches.


  1. Serve the chicken with the hummus and vegetables. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve with the pita bread.


  1. Very quick, and very good. Served the dish on rice. Omitted hummus and pitas from the garnish.

I love the garnishes for a plate it looks colorful and fresh, Id add that you can just as easily marinate this meat cut up into pieces and Bake at 400 for 15 mins and slice again after cooled and then fry again in a bit of oil to brown up the edges like real shawarma in a cast iron skillet on med. Id make more meat get 2 large breasts and 4 thighs and bump up the spices with cumin and paprika and a pinch of cayenne , Delish
