Add a personal touch to breakfast by making your own tisane. We used orange zest and candied ginger to lift caffeine-free rooibos tea, but you can use the zest of your favourite citrus (like lemon) or another sweet dried fruit (like coconut), depending on your taste.
Place the grated zest on a plate. Microwave for 1 minute, stirring halfway through cooking. Let dry completely.
In a bowl, combine the dried zest with the remaining ingredients. Spoon 2 tsp of the mixture into individual tea filters. The orange ginger herbal tea will keep for 3 months in an airtight container at room temperature.
