Citrus- and Cilantro-Infused Vodka

  1. In a 2-cup (500 ml) glass jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the vodka and the sugar until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  2. Add the pressed lime and lemon halves, as well as the pieces of cilantro stems. Seal the jar. Shake well and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  3. Strain the vodka. Serve the flavoured vodka over ice or add it to one of your favourite cocktails.

Note

You can infuse your vodka with one ingredient at a time as it becomes available. Simply strain the vodka before each new addition.

Comment

  1. Actually, a question: for the "pressed lemon halves" and "pressed lime halves" - I am assuming we do not use the juice, just the halves (i.e. empty shells) remaining after they have been juiced?
