Approximately seven 250 ml (1 cup) jars



  1. In a large heavy saucepan, combine all the ingredients, except for the Certo. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring frequently and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes. Skim carefully, as needed. Add the pectin and bring to a boil. Cook for 1 minute at a rolling boil. Let cool, stirring occasionally.
  2. Pour into jars and refrigerate.


  1. Was pickling vinegar used (it’s 7% critic acid vs 5% for normal stuff)or did you just use normal vinegar??

  2. This is a keeper. I used apple cider vinegar and add 1/2 cup of jalapeno peppers , Awesome flavour

  3. Fantastic NO FAIL Recipe! Thank you Ricardo for another great recipe to add to my collection that I can use to make my own. You never disappoint me! I added 1 habanero for heat and used apple cider vinegar as that’s all I had. The method is what makes this work
