How to Integrate Personal Recipes, Using a Smartphone Camera, into My RICARDO+

You can now transform your paper recipes into digital recipe pages in under two minutes by taking a simple photo using your smartphone. Whether they’re from old recipe books, magazines or were written by hand by your grandmother, here is your step by step guide to add them to your My RICARDO+ account.

1. Click on the My RICARDO icon to access your account. Once in the My RICARDO menu, click on My Recipes.

2. Click on the My Personal Recipes folder. Once in the folder, click on the Create a Recipe button.

3. Option 1 (recommended):  Scan a printed recipe from a photo, either by uploading an image or taking a photo with your smartphone camera, by clicking on the Scan from a Photo button. 

Option 2: You can choose to create a recipe manually by clicking on the Fill Out in a Simplified Way button and filling in the ingredient and step fields.

4. Click on Browse Your Files to access the file selection interface.

5. By clicking on Select Local File, you can choose among the files in your smartphone’s photo gallery or take a photo using your camera. If it’s your first time using this photo-taking function with your device, you will need to authorize the use of your camera

6. Select the file to upload from your gallery. Confirm your image selection by clicking on Finish.

7. Click on Next to begin image analysis by artificial intelligence. Wait 15 to 30 seconds while artificial intelligence analyzes your image.

8. Once the analysis has been completed, you’ll land on the editing mode of the personal recipe creation interface. Take the time to go over your recipe and make any corrections and modifications as needed. Click the Save button on the bottom of the screen.

9. Your personal recipe has now been saved to the My Personal Recipes folder! You can share it by clicking on the Share button on the upper-right corner of the page and selecting your desired sharing method.
