How to Make a Dairy-Free Iced Coffee

Iced coffee is one of the many joys of summer. And we’ve got a plant-based version for you that’s just as refreshing as a swim in the pool. Gather some ice, espresso, maple syrup and almond beverage to whip up this delightful iced treat.

Our test kitchen’s shortcuts

To make this coffee, we chose a barista-style almond beverage in place of cow’s milk. It’s not only coffee professionals who use it; it’s also made for coffee aficionados who’d like to add something special to their cup. This type of beverage was developed to provide creaminess and a sweet flavour. Whether hot or cold, after having gone through a milk frother, it transforms into a pretty head of foam in your cup. Definitely a great way to work on your coffee artist skills!

A well-earned foam

Even though a milk frother is useful when it comes to achieving a lovely foam, a 500 ml Mason-type jar (and a bit of arm strength!) also does the job. Simply pour in the almond beverage, seal and shake vigorously for a few minutes until frothy.
