If you are shelling your own crab, buy a little more than double the weight indicated above. It will take you an additional 20 minutes to shell the crab. The crabmeat can be replaced with Nordic shrimp or lobster.
Carefully store the crab shells in the freezer. They can be used to prepare the delicious bisque that serves as the base for the sauce in our Snow Crab Bisque Pasta.
If using frozen snow crab meat, mix a small amount of the mayonnaise in with the crabmeat.
