  1. Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook on low heat for about 8 hours, or on high for about 6 hours. Stir and adjust the seasoning.
  2. Serve with buttered tagliatelle.


  1. Hi Ricardo....this looks really good and I intend to make it but will not use the baby carrots as they are rinsed with a mixture of bleach and water. If you put a bag in the fridge the next day there is a fllm.....a white film on them...that is the bleach coming through. Anyway I just wanted to comment on the recipe that I will try....Thanks, Susan

  2. this is just delicious. I have already made it twice, once with bacon and second time with pancetta. equally delicious. so easy to make and end results were loved by my whole family

  3. Ricardo vous ête super! Awesome recipe as usual! Other then browning the meats and thickening the liquid a little at the end of cooking time, the recipe stayed the same. Delish! Served over a scoop of aligot.

  4. Trying it! The liquid comes only halfway up the ingredients, so nervous but we shall see.
