You can substitute the onion spread with sour cream. In this case, add ¼ thinly sliced onion on the pizza.
We just got back from the Alsace region of France and discovered this gem of a recipe. I used the sour cream as the base, pancetta and onion slivers (what I had on hand). I cannot wait to try the onion jam. On another note, I am gluten free. I used a gluten free flour tortilla as my base and I used Lavash (flat bread) as the base for those without Gluten allergies. Excellent!
