Shrimp and Avocado Hamburger

  1. In a bowl, combine the shrimp, bell pepper, mayonnaise, and harissa. Add the avocado and toss gently. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a hot skillet, brown the inside and outside of the buns. Lightly spread the inside of the buns with mayonnaise. Garnish the bottoms with the shrimp salad and top with the lettuce. Close the buns and serve immediately.


  1. I made this recipe for the first time last week end. I was looking for something rather easy to do and not having to use the BBQ as it was a very hot day... My guests from Ottawa and I went totally wild with this recipe. I made a few adjustments to the original recipe. Replaced most of the mayo by plain yogurt. Kept a little mayo. Added a good 4 TBSP finally chopped Cilantro and reduce the Harissa by 1/2 . This is a repeat for sure !!!

  2. Was a real hit. The teens loved it. Looking forward to making it again
