Preparation

  1. In a large non-stick skillet, brown the cut side of endives in butter.
  2. Turn endives over and drizzle with broth, maple syrup and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer gently for about 20 minutes or until tender.
  3. Place endives on a platter. Keep warm.
  4. Reduce cooking juices until syrupy and pour over endives. Season with pepper.

Note

If you can’t find white balsamic vinegar, use traditional brown balsamic vinegar.

  1. This recipe was really delicious! I think there might be a mistake in the maple syrup measurement as 3 teaspoons is 15ml and not 45ml. The latter would convert to 3 tablespoons. Best regards!
