  1. 1. In a skillet over medium heat, soften the bell pepper and garlic in the butter. Transfer to a bowl. Add the remaining patty ingredients and combine thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Shape into eight patties.

  1. Dredge the patties in the flour shaking off any excess, then dip in the egg, letting the excess drip off. Press into the bread crumbs and coat well.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the patties in the butter and oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Serve immediately.
