    • 1 can 14 oz (398 ml) Italian crushed tomatoes
    • 1/8 teaspoon (0.5 ml) crushed red pepper flakes

    • 1 small red onion, cut into 1/4-inch (0.5-cm) slices
    • 1 lb (454 g) beef tenderloin steak
    • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
    • 2 yellow or red bell peppers, roasted, peeled, and cut into strips
    • 16 Kalamata olives, pitted and halved
    • 1/4 cup (60 ml) grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
    • Salt and pepper
