  1. In a small pot over medium heat, warm the water, ground oats, cinnamon and salt. Simmer, stirring regularly, for 8 minutes or until thickened and the oats are tender. Add the maple syrup and half of the dates.
  2. Pour into two bowls. Garnish with the remaining dates and the nuts.
