November 3 to 7, 2025: What to Cook This Week

What’s on the menu for the week ahead? Make everyone around the table happy with this selection of five quick, easy and satisfying meals, from pasta and squash soup to cozy hamburger steak!

Monday: Hearty Tortellini and Squash Soup

Kitchen hacks are essential on busy weeknights, like with this recipe, where we chose store-bought filled tortellini as the basic ingredient of this soup. In addition to seasonal squash, spinach and sage enhance the delicious, fragrant broth.

Tuesday: Ginger and Turmeric Chicken

Perfect any night of the week, these succulent chicken thighs marinated in a zesty blend of ginger, turmeric and onion are packed with robust flavours in each bite. Quick to make and, yes, affordable, the whole family will enjoy this recipe.

Wednesday: Green Bean and Ground Pork Stir-Fry

There’s nothing quite like a stir-fry that combines sweet and salty flavours. In this recipe, simply cook the green beans and ground pork and then toss in a sauce made of oyster sauce, ginger, soy sauce and brown sugar. Serve with rice and drizzle with chili oil; easy doesn’t have to mean lacking in flavour.

Thursday: Sheet-Pan Curried Vegetables and Trout

Sheet pans are an essential kitchen ally; you place all your ingredients on one pan, toss it into the oven, and clean-up afterwards is a breeze. So you’ll be happy at how easy this tasty fish dish is to put together.

Friday: Hamburger Steak with Broccoli and Pea Mash

Hamburger steak is a classic and simple to recreate at home. Coated in a flavourful onion and wine glaze, the addition of the broccoli and pea mash (so easy to make!) brings a nice dose of colour to the dish. Happy Friday!
