If you make the sauce in advance, it will be much thicker after being cooled. When warming it up, add broth or water to obtain the desired texture.
It seems like something is missing. Also, why is ground ginger listed twice? Edit please!
Interesting. As is, the recipe produces a dull, earthy flavoured BBQ sauce which wasn't to my taste. Adding additional honey helped and enriched the sauce giving it a more familiar sweet BBQ sauce. Would make again but keep altering.
