The 5 Desserts Missing From Our Website

“Oh, come on!” Have you ever had this reaction when searching in vain for a recipe on our website? Even though it contains over 7,000 recipes, some are still missing…for now! Who could have guessed that we had no recipe for banana muffins or rice cereal and marshmallow squares? We took care of that by creating five desserts that were still missing from our collection.

1. Rice Cereal and Marshmallow Squares (Rice Krispies)

Legendary Rice Krispies Squares are so simple to make that we had almost forgotten about them. We reproduced the traditional recipe with rice cereal, butter and vanilla extract, but we doubled the quantity of marshmallow from the original recipe so that the squares are beautifully gooey, just like Ricardo loves them. It’s also possible to add mini marshmallows to the cereal; they’ll remain whole when stirring everything together.

2. Banana Muffins

We’ve created over 15 banana bread recipes over the years, but no classic version was ever adapted for muffins. This is now a thing of the past! Made of whole wheat flour, these soft muffins are not too sweet. A pinch each of cinnamon and allspice has been added to give them a light touch of spiciness if you wish. You’ll finally be able to empty out your banana cemetery in the freezer!

3. Coffee Shortbread Cookies

Coffee shortbread cookies were among the recipe searches that used to generate no answer on our site. That’s why we’ve created these lovely cookies that taste of butter and coffee. Ground coffee beans are directly incorporated into the dough so that it’s appropriately fragrant. Your coffee break is now perfect.

4. Savoy Cake

This traditional French cake is similar to a chiffon cake, but, thanks to the whipped egg whites and a large quantity of cornstarch in the dough, it rises beautifully without deflating. Very versatile, it can be served with an icing of your choice or simply with a little crème fraîche and fruit. We loved it so much that it’s bound to become a new classic.

5. Double Chocolate Cookies

We’ve finally doubled the pleasure! The cookie dough is filled with dark chocolate chunks. As they contain both oil and butter, the cookies will stay moist for a long time. Actually, they’re so gooey that you need to let them cool down on the baking tray once out of the oven because they’re too soft to be manipulated. Feel like multiplying your pleasure by three? Sprinkle a pinch of fleur de sel on the cookies.
